Landscape Architect/Designer

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the complete design, estimating, and sales process for residential and commercial landscape projects including coordination with other departments and subcontractors. The Landscape Architect/ Designer is responsible for meeting sales goals and budgets established by the Landscape Division Manager. Apply online

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Professionally represent The Highridge Corporation, providing necessary communication and coordination with crewmembers, supervisors, customers and representatives of other departments, trades, or subcontractors.

Serve as an effective supervisor when called on to assist or back up the Field Supervisor.

Promptly and efficiently, respond to inquiries from potential customers. Screen leads, meet with clients, analyze sites, prepare estimates, prepare and present proposals in accordance with Highridge policies, procedures and standards of quality.

Use effective sales skills and techniques to follow up proposals and maximize closing.

Prepare post-sale project documentation as necessary, so that sold jobs can be implemented promptly and efficiently.

Serve as the primary customer contact as appropriate during the project design, sales, installation process, and coordinating field revisions as required.

Maintain client communication to insure customer satisfaction.

Assist in supervising and training personnel as necessary to perform their duties effectively.

Help to insure efficiency, productivity and profitability by establishing high levels of respect and accountability among staff members.

Demonstrate reliability and accountability on a consistent basis, including: attendance, thoroughness, quality control, customer service, innovation and self-sufficiency.

Lead through example, encouraging consistent reliability and accountability from staff members.

Assist in the professional growth and development of staff members.

Prepare and submit documentation as directed, including items required for specific projects as well as items that may be related to sales, marketing, planning, purchasing, budgeting, personnel accounting or other miscellaneous assignments.

Follow all Company and departmental policies and procedures, and promote consistent compliance to those same policies and procedures by staff members.Apply online

Minimum Qualifications/Skills/Abilities Required At least three to five years of professional experience, college level training, or a combination of both.

Ability to meet the communication requirements of the position, including verbal and written English as necessary in a professional business environment.

Basic math skills as necessary for proper irrigation and lighting estimating, contract administration and installation documentation.

Working knowledge of personal computer technology, with the ability to efficiently utilize common software programs including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.Apply online
Education/Certification/Licensing Req.: Valid drivers license, with verifiable driving record that is acceptable and in accordance with standards set forth by Company insurance regulations.

Bachelor’s degree in related field or combination of experience and formal education to meet the responsibilities of the position.

Landscape Installation

Foreman:

This position reports directly to the field superintendent and is responsible for the construction and installation of various landscape designs and the supervision of the installation crew. Apply online

Specialist:

This is a skilled working position in the Landscape Division. Specific knowledge in the operation and use of hand tools/equipment used in the industry is required. This position reports directly to the crew foreman. Apply online

Helper: This is a manual labor position within The Highridge Corporation. It requires good physical condition and dexterity for the use of simple hand tools. This position reports directly to the crew foreman. Apply online

Irrigation Installation and Service  

Irrigation Foreman

This is a skilled position requiring at least 3 years experience on commercial and residential projects. The position reports to the field superintendent or project manager. Requirements include a valid drivers license and clean driving record, the ability to read and implement plans, the ability to operate and maintain equipment, and the ability to manage a complete installation project from start to finish.  Applicants must have excellent communication skills and technical abilities, and the commitment to our customer service record. This position requires self motivated persons with at least 3 years experience in the field trouble-shooting and repairing of sprinklers, piping, valves, wiring (24 and 12 volt), controllers and pumps. Maintenance

Landscape Maintenance Field Supervisor

This position reports to the division manager and is responsible for the field operations and the overall direction of division operating crews. This person will be responsible for the scheduling of the maintenance crews and the assurance of productivity standards. The ability to implement field resolutions for unforeseen maintenance issues is an on-going requirement. Applicant must have specific knowledge of tools and equipment used in the industry; and is able to perform quality inspections on all maintenance work. Apply online

Landscape Maintenance Crew Helper This manual labor position requires good physical condition and dexterity in the use of simple hand tools and equipment. Although no specific skills are required, incumbent must be able to perform various task as instructed. The worker should understand the use of assorted tools/equipment in the performance of their duties, this position reports directly to the crew leader. Apply online
Landscape Maintenance Sales Sell maintenance contracts to upper end commercial and residential clients. Perform estimating bidding and sales along with follow up. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience, self-motivated, take charge attitude, strong customer service skills, and a thorough knowledge of the landscape industry. Apply online
Interior Plantscaping Technician This person is responsible for the management and care of interior plantscapes. Some horticultural knowledge and ability to identify plants, pests and diseases is preferred. Custom Outdoor Structures

Deck and Fence Builder This person will be thoroughly familiar with deck and fence building practices. Experience with the construction of other wooden outdoor structures would be helpful. Quality orientation and reliability a must. Apply online
